The Open is just that, an open theme - all subjects, The SE Center iasked for images of any theme, media, digital, analog, or antique processes that show your best work. Analog and digital manipulation in all its forms welcome. Monochrome or color, all subjects, analog, digital or antique processes, photographers of all skill levels and locations are welcome.
The SE Center Open is dedicated to Dr. Willard Pate.
The most senior member of Furman University’s faculty, Dr. Pate’s contributions to Furman and its students are legendary. She was a notable teacher of writing at both the first-year and upper levels, and her advocacy for the importance of teaching writing within a liberal arts tradition helped make Furman’s English Department one of the finest in the South.
Additionally, Willard Pate was an accomplished photographer, friend of photography and longtime supporter of the SE Center. She will be missed by her Furman family and here at the SE Center.
